the two men awarded nearly 125 plaques from the stage to those
artists voted as the best of Chicagoland.

Iron Maiden Tribute act, REVELATIONS, took top
honors asChicagoland's "Top Tribute Artist of 1999".
The guys were M.I.A. on the night of the awards, but showed up
the next night to jam at Kelley's and were
given their awards then.

Once the awards were presented and the four bands
started
rocking...the night got a little crazy as everyone celebrated.

N.W. Indiana's MOTHERLOAD took home the
prestigious Publisher's
Award as they were our magazine's pick as "Most Promising
New Artist of

MOTHERLOAD strutted their stuff on stage and
debuted many of the
songs from their new album, "Burns Like Whiskey",
which was released only two
weeks after this gala bash! So go buy it!!!

John Sullivan from LOUDMOUTH needed a wheelbarrow
to take his
bands' awards from the stage to his car that night.
Loudmouth received
awards for "Top Local Album of 1999",
"Top 5 Bands of 1999" and a bunch of
individual awards for artistic excellence. Sullivan
for instance was deemed
by the Midwest BEAT magazine readers as "Favorite Drummer
of 1999"

Rip-Hop heavies, INZANE, closed the night with a
hard-hitting set
of material that earned them the title of Chicagoland number one
"Favorite NEW
Band of 1999" and also pushed them into the
"Top 5 Chicagoland Bands of
1999" category as well. Shown here is INZANE's

The South Side AC/DC tribute band - BONFIRE -
kicked the night off
well and put things into high gear fast... Bassist
Jimmy Hillegonds has an
incredible Bon Scott vocal style. Guitarist Zeke
Rongers gets pretty crazed
when portraying "Angus"
