Chicago gets Wasted with L.P.

If you never heard of New York based, rock-driven, L.P. then let me introduce you to her.  L.P. has been touring non-stop now for a few years, she has two albums available, she writes her songs, she is lead vocals and plays guitar, she has four other members in her talented band, and yes…she is known by her initials only.

L.P. is currently on tour promoting her latest album, Suburban Sprawl & Alcohol.  This album has such a good mix of songs with catchy lyrics that it is lip-licking addictive.  But to see L.P. live in concert is the icing on the cake.  With her brown curly hair and a voice that could be mix at times of Benatar and Nicks, I am giving you fair warning that after you see this girl perform live, you will be begging for more.

The Chicago show was a special acoustic performance featuring Josh Flagg on guitar, and Tony Finn on keys and guitar.  This gave the crowd a sweet taste of what L.P’s music and unique style is like.  The show opened with “Cadillac Life” a soft, alluring song about packing up and moving on to start over.  Then L.P. sped things up with songs  “Heartless”, “Wasted”, and “Change of Scenery”.  The show ended with her albums title track “Suburban Sprawl & Alcohol”.  Even though the crowd wanted more, L.P. assured them that she would be back in Chicago August 6th with her full band and to watch out as she is going to rock the house.

To quote a few lines of her song “Wasted Get wasted on love, get wasted on life, get wasted on anything that's right” – Getting wasted with L.P. is something we should all try because it is so…right!
