“Another Saturday night an ah ain't got a regret, wen to a concert,  an was really impressed, had  mo fun than ah would  ehspect…”

Christian Kane performed at the Pick Wick Theatre, in  the Chicago suburb of Park Ridge as part of the venue’s “Flashback  Weekend", which  gave the public  an opportunity to meet and greet some of their favorite  TV celebrities.

Among those who drew the biggest of crowds were –– David Boreanaz and Christian Kane of the hit series "Angel"  and Sarah Michelle Geller of the TV cult fave, "Buffy The Vampire Slayer.”

The concert was intended to expose the public to the musical

portion of Kane's talents while giving him a chance to promote his recently  released CD.  While his songs fall mainly in the realm of country music, they also contain some pop and Southern Rock elements.

The audience that had gathered for the musical event was rather sedate at first, though many strode in wearing western hats and boots.  There was a charming “down home” feel, which provided an inviting and comfortable ambience, lending an air of intimacy to the performance.

Brandon Hart opened things up when he stepped up to the microphone accompanied only by his acoustic guitar.  His musical skill, vocal clarity and enjoyable songs were well able to adequately “warm up” the audience, who politely received him.

David Boreanaz stepped up to the mic and introduced his cast mate and buddy and it became evident that the audience was more than ready for main attraction –– Christian Kane.

Kane, adorned in a cowboy hat and armed with an acoustic, was greeted with whistling, cheering and thunderous applause. From the smile etched upon his face, Kane clearly showed his fans that he appreciated the positive reception.

The nouveau country rock style of Christian Kane’s is compelling and certainly entertaining. Kane's stage presence fills in any possible gaps or lapses in his music or it’s delivery.  He has an entertaining presence and personality.

Kane proved to Chicagoans who were present that day, that he truly is multi-talented and can wear the label of “musician” as well as “actor” equally well.  There is life after a hit television series for this gifted entertainer it seems, if only he can get his music heard.

Kane delivered an excellent performance and is well worth the investment of a music fan’s time, if they appreciate country style rock.
