The Donnas score a perfect 10….

As they kick-off their 2005 tour in Chicago to promote their new album Gold Medal , which sparkles with edgy, straight out rock ‘n’ roll songs. The Donnas’ had a busy few days in Chicago with two concerts and an in-store meet and greet at a record store.

A big thanks to Rolling Stone magazine and Miller Beer, as they gave fans and the diehard fans called “Donnaholics” a real treat that included a free concert, free food and drinks, and a goodie bag with many samples of new products coming out along with coupons at your nearest Best Buy store.

The concert began when Torry Castellano, the amazing and spunky drummer for the band strutted on stage and before she headed to her drums she got the crowd revved up by throwing her arms up and down.  The talented and incredible guitarists Maya Ford and Allison Robertson came on stage next followed by vocalist and keyboardist Brett Anderson.

The audience finally got a sweet taste of their new songs that included the pop-driven songs “Friends Like Mine” and “It’s So Hard” as well as the crowd favorite “I Don’t Want To Know (If You Don’t Want Me)”.  They also performed songs off their 2002 chart-smashing album Spend the Night, like the glistering  “5 O’Clock in the Morning”, and their sexually vibrant hit,  “Take It Off”.

Gold Medal is a powerhouse follow-up. With the flawless guitar licks by the guitar-kicking Allison and the energy-driven vocals by Brett, the Donnas’ surely  were awarded the gold in Chicago.

Hey, let’s also give a medal to Rolling Stone magazine and Miller Beer for their perfect 10 event.
