Le Tigre electrifies Chicago

In the late 90’s, Bikini Kill founder and riot grrrl Kathleen Hanna formed her new electronic feminist punk band Le Tigre. The band also consists of guitarist Johanna Fatemen and keyboardist JD Samson. With use of a drum machine the trio exploded into many songs including “On The Verge,” “Viz,” “Well Well Well,” and “After Dark.” During the show, JD and Kathleen both bopped to their songs and did a few jazzy dance steps together.

It is a sign of genuine talent when the lyrics are a clever mix of female sexuality and politics and the songs are so powerful during their the live presentation that Le Tigre will have you wanting to hear more-- and bop along with them song after song.
