New Music Coming Your Way

AUGUST 1

 

Doug Pinnick, frontman/ bassist for King’s X, will unveil his latest solo effort titled Emotional Animal on the 1st.  The LP’s special features include bonus MP3 tracks and an interview. 

 

Country queen Faith Hill has her latest, Fireflies, on the way.  Look for another duet with Faith and husband Tim McGraw on the album as well. 

 

Also, look for new releases from Danny Barnes, Alice Cooper,  Stereotactic, Riddle of Steel, and Madball.

 

AUGUST 9

 

Pat Boone has a “lost” LP ready to surface.  Glory Train; The Lost Tapes is a gospel collection featuring the vocal talents of LeAnn Rimes, Michael McDonald, and Bono.  

 

After nearly two hears on hiatus, Hootie & The Blowfish are back with a new LP of material, titled Looking for Lucky

 

Even though he's on the road right now with Motley Crue, drummer Tommy Lee is pushing his now solo effort very hard.  Tommyland: The Ride is being released without the assistance of a record label, and will feature guest spots from members of the Backstreet Boys,  Nickelback, Fuel, and Sum  41. 

 

Keep your eyes open on August 9th for releases from Richard Thompson, Ol'  Dirty Bastard, and Pennywise as well.

 

AUGUST 16

 

The third release date in August is fairly quiet.  However, you can bee on the lookout for albums from 311, Brad Paisley,  Stryper, and Cowboy  Junkies.

 

AUGUST 23

 

A  series of interview discs are on the way under the title of Xposed  Artists featured are –– Red Hot Chili Peppers, 50 Cent, and Green Day.  However, I can't confirm if any of these have been sanctioned by the artists. 

 

Complete with a guest appearance by Faith No More bassist Billy Gold, the new LP from Fear Factory is ready to hit  stores on this day.

 

 DVD's from Willie Nelson, Raven, Orgy, and Taj Mahal are on the way the 23rd as well.  And don't forget to listen for new albums from Trick Pony, New Pornographers, Otis Taylor, and Joe Zawinul & the Zawinul  Syndicate.

 

AUGUST 30

 

Guitar legend Eric Clapton has a new LP due out that  features new original material, as well as some cover songs.  Back  Home, due August 30th, features covers of songs by Stevie Wonder, Vince Gill, and George Harrison, and features guest  spots from John Mayer, and Steve Winwood

 

As the month draws to a close, look for  releases from Killer Mike, Lil' Wayne, Goo Goo Dolls, and The Deftones.
