JULY 7
There are a few noteworthy releases for July 5. Iron Maiden has a two CD Essential Collection on the way. There is a Grateful Dead DVD documentary on deck that chronicles the band’s final tour, as well as Jerry Garcia’s memorial. The DVD is titled, The End of the Road. R Kelly will also release TP3: Reloaded, complete with a bonus DVD.
JULY 14
Mr. White Buck shoes...Pat Boone will attempt to recapture the hearts of rock ‘n’ roll fans with his new LP. Ready to Rock features guest spots from members of Three Dog Night, as well as The Eagles.
On the darker side of things...Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi will unveil his latest solo effort when Fused arrives this month. New albums are also on the way from – Willie Nelson, William Hung, Orange Park, Son Volt, and Rick Springfield.
JULY 19
Green Day fans will enjoy the band’s DVD, The History Of... A DVD with the same title will drop on the same day featuring the legendary Metallica as well. New LP's are due out this day from Busta Rhymes, DMX, Carly Simon, and The Muggs.
JULY 26
Babyface will release Grown & Sexy on the Arista label on the 26th. Guitar god, Yngwie Malmsteen, will attempt toUnleash the Fury with his new release.
Also this month, Bob Mould will be wrapped in the Body of Song. Keep your eyes open for albums from Roger Alan Wade, Dope, Jason Isbell, and Third World as well.
And to finish things off, check out the new release from former Stray Cats bandleader and old-school roots-rocker, Brian Setzer. Rockabilly Riot Vol. One: A Tribute to Sun Records arrives this last Tuesday in July.
