Bolt Thrower is recording a new album, as yet untitled, due out around, October/November 2005.  Now they have an official website, www.boltthrower.com

Remember Mark Tervoner?  He’s the former axe man and main songwriter from The Crown.  He has a new band, Angel Blake and has teamed up with former vocalist, Tony Jelencovich of Transport League and is already recording their forthcoming CD.

Tervoner says, “For a Crown fan I would describe the sound as somewhere along the lines of Dead Man’s Song, Bow To None, In Memoriam, World Below, Death By My Side and Vengeance…Heavy melancholic songs.  There’s no blast beats here.”

Gorerotted has completed their third full-length CD, A New Dawn For The Dead, hitting stores, June 28.  Fates Warning’s  Awaken The Guardian, out June 28th.  August 9th you can pick up the new Six Feet Under13 + Graveyard Expanded Edition Classics 2 – 2 CD set.

Just because…  The Who is not Metal, but they never conformed, so they deserve this mention.  Can you believe it’s the 30th anniversary of The Who’s, “Tommy”, the motion picture version?

Cleveland’s Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Museum is hosting, “Tommy:  The Amazing Journey”, now on exhibit until March 2006.

DEMETER’S TEASERS

KAMELOT / The Black Halo – SPV USA

This band from Tampa, FL has been around for 15 years and is well known to fans around the world, as being melodic and majestic power metal.  This is their 8th studio album filled with intricate instrumentation, mind-numbing arrangements and vocals to die for.  This is an excellent representation of symphonic mastery at it’s very best!!

RUSSELL ALLEN’S ATOMIC SOUL / Self-titled

Inside Out Music/SPV

Solo debut from front man from Symphony X.  Allen is going for a pure rock album/straightforward, ‘70’s influenced (Dio, Rainbow and Badlands) and he definitely hit the mark. Allen does the composition and arrangements of the entire album and he also played most of the keyboards, guitar and bass himself, with some help from some friends.  If your looking for something not hitting you upside the head that lends itself to a little blues and stoner rock, this is totally it.  This is a freaking’ great CD!  Can’t wait to hear more of what he has to offer!

MESHUGGAH / Catch Thirty Three - Nuclear Blast America

This is the 10th release from this Swedish band.  The speed limit has slowed down, drum programming in progress and as usual the guitars are the star, on one song that becomes 13 cuts.  This CD is very deliberate and an interesting approach.  They experiment just enough to keep it fresh, but not trendy and without compromising their style.  Meshuggah is always on top of their game; they can do no wrong!

FORCE OF EVIL / Black EmpireEscapi Music

Old school classic metal at the utmost finest!!!!  This is the second CD from the 2-guitar assault of Mercyful Fate, Michael Denner and Hank Shermann.  Also on board Hal Patino, Bjarne T. Holm and Martin Steene (King Diamond, Mercyful Fate and Ironfire).

That should tell you all you need to know… “Kick Ass” is a major understatement and “Shreds” doesn’t even seem to cover it.  All I know is Black Empire should make the Top Ten Metal CD’s for 2005.  Guitar solos so good it makes you ache.  Everything is just about perfect!  Twelve cuts just aren’t enough.  Hit Play/Repeat, Play/Repeat…. This one is staying in my car stereo, until something better comes along, but I doubt it!!

Till Next Time…ONE NATION UNDERGROUND!
