Former Soul Coughing front man Mike Doughty has a new solo LP due out this month. Haughty Melodic is modern-day psychedelic, free-flowing listening experience. The album has a well known guest, Dave Matthews, showing up on the duet, “Tremendous Brunettes.” Doughty is signed to Matthews’ ATO Records label.
Fans of the legendary rock band Aerosmith may want to check out guitarist Joe Perry’s self-titled solo effort. On his first solo or side project since the early 1980’s, Perry pays tribute to The Doors and Woody Guthrie on his Columbia Records release.
For the first time in six years fans will be able to get their hands on new material from Nine Inch Nails. Trent Reznor and band return with the LP With Teeth this day.
A Time 2 Love, the long-awaited new album from the great Stevie Wonder will finally come to life in May. After encountering many last minute delays, the album, complete with guest appearances from Prince, En Vogue, Doug E. Fresh, and Wonder’s daughter Aisha, is finally on the way.
The original soundtrack to Star Wars- Episode III: Revenge of the Sith will arrive in stores two weeks prior to the release of the final film in the Star Wars saga. The John Williams-composed score comes with a bonus DVD.

Weezer steps back into the spotlight with the release of Make Believe on May 10th. The album’s first single, “Beverly Hills,” has been tearing up radio charts for over a month, and the video was filmed at the Playboy Mansion.
Former Led Zeppelin mouthpiece Robert Plant resurfaces with the Strange Sensations band on a brand new album –– Plant’s first since 2003’s Strangeland.
Stand Up marks the return of the Dave Matthews Band. “American Baby” will be the first single from the Mark Batson-produced effort, and it is the first full band release since 2002.
Southern rock legends Donnie and Johnny Van Zant team up for new crossover country album on Columbia Records, Get Right With the Man. This album is smokin’ good!

Two fantastic DVD's are set to arrive in May. The first is a concert DVD shot at the 2004 Bonnaroo Festival in Tennessee. The double-disc set features performances from The Dead, Steve Winwood, Primus, Bob Dylan, and Kings of Leon. The second DVD to take notice of is Growing Up on Tour: A Family Portrait, a documentary shot on Peter Gabriel’s 2002 world tour.
Country music sensation Toby Keith has his new LP set for release. Drawing inspiration from Keith’s early days as a singer/ songwriter, Honkytonk University is sure to debut high on the charts.
Legendary producer Rick Rubin (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tom Petty, Beastie Boys) is at the helm for System of a Down’s new album, Mezmerize. This LP is part one of a two-album set. Part two, Hypnotize, will arrive sometime this Fall.

With the single “Be Yourself” a top download on iTunes and a huge radio hit already, it’s not expected that Audioslave will suffer a “sophomore slump” with their new LP, Out of Exile.
Jacob Dylan and company have completed work on The Wallflowers new album. Rebel, Sweetheart was produced by Brendan O'Brien (Pearl Jam, Kings X), and features 11 Dylan-penned new songs.
Monkey Business, the new Black-Eyed Peas effort, will be arriving on May 24th. The album features a cameo from Justin Timberlake, and the first song to hit radio is “Don’t Phunk with My Heart.” | ||
