for a unique and economical Christmas gift for those special music fans on

help us keep helping to
support the local music scene? Yeah, I thought so! Well, it IS that time
of year once again. We at Midwest
BEAT Magazine will soon be assembling our December/January double
holiday issue and will once again be dedicating our center pages to your
personalized holiday greetings.
You can share your personal holiday message
with the entire Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana music community by
purchasing a 2” x 2” FULL COLOR square.
Space on these color pages is limited and the cost is a measly $25
per square. This is a perfect way
to for bands to give a shout out to the many fans that support them year
‘round. It’s a nice way
to remind our readers of new local CDs, t-shirts and other merchandise
your band may have ready for holiday gift-giving as well. It’s also a great
way for fans to let their fave artists know that they are #1 with them as
well. Parents can give props
to their kids and vice versa. Night clubs!
Music retailers! This is a thoughtful way to give a public “thank you” to
your patrons, customers and to your employees as well. If you want to give a
bigger shout out, than just add more squares (greeting size in this
section is limited to four squares) and make your message jump off the
page. By placing a Holiday
Square (or multiple squares) in our pages next month, you help us to fund
our annual “Midwest
BEAT Reader’s Poll Awards.”
As you know, every
March, our publication hosts a special “Awards
Bash” where the artists you –– the readers –– chose as your
favorites are honored and recognized.
Presenting these
annual awards at this event gets more and more costly with every passing
year [call it inflation and additional categories added with each ballot],
but we feel it is very important to publically recognize the wonderful
music and the musicians that rock our region. While on the subject
of this, bands and fans should keep in mind that the year-end “Reader’s
Poll Voting Ballots” will also appear in our December/January
issue. Savvy bands and fans
can use their greeting squares to do a little tasteful “campaigning for
votes,” along with sending out their personal holiday regards. DEADLINE... for sending in
your “Holiday Greeting Square”
copy and color artwork is November 23...so get busy! No squares will be sold after Nov. 22. Remember folks... if
you want your ad in full color, you MUST supply us your color logo or your
color photo. If you just want a
text message, we can place your text in color ink or illustrate it with a
piece of holiday art. Payment
for your square must be sent in with your ad copy and/or artwork. Send all your stuff by
