It is rare to go to any bar or restaurant in southwest Michigan and find a solo acoustic artist who plays with such fervor and enthusiasm as Aaron McNally.

For two years now, Aaron McNally has graced southwest Michigan’s growing music scene by playing such places as Paisano’s, in Three Rivers Michigan and Niles’ Riverfront Cafe.

He’s also a regular on Friday nights at The Drop Anchor in Marcellus, and a host of other venues in small towns throughout this area. Not to mention a numerous amount of shows at Milley’s bar, in Remington, Indiana.

Starting off on piano and quickly learning a number of different instruments by the time he was in high school jazz band playing the drums, performing numerous styles of music is hardly new to Aaron.

Now that he has started writing his own music, McNally is quickly becoming one of Michigan’s most motivated artists.  Inspired by, and covering songs by the likes of The Beatles, Dave Matthews, and Van Morrison just to mention a few, McNally seems to write constantly.

After playing with two different bands over the span of three years, McNally feels he has found a definite niche as a solo artist in an area of the country where solo artists are not known to thrive.

Ever since going solo in the fall of 2004, McNally’s following has kept growing. Aside from doing up to five shows a week, he has a home-based recording studio where he is currently working on his debut album.

Not only is he working on his own material, he also produces and records music made by some of southwest Michigan’s most creative talents.

Early McNally demos can be heard online: www.aaronmcnally.com

Show dates, contact info, a bio, photos and more are just couple of clicks of the mouse away once you sign on his website.

Attending one of McNally’s live shows, usually guarantees leaving with a smile on your face.

Aaron has been playing music in front of people for over a decade, and his shows include a plethora of enjoyable medleys that are creatively and well arranged.

He hopes to soon start booking gigs nearer the Michiana border region and perhaps even into Northwest Indiana itself.  This writer journeys from Illinois to catch him live from time to time, so I feel confident in stating that a McNally performance should not be missed by anyone interested in seeing and hearing one of the Midwest’s most solid performers.
