The TEEN Scene

GOODBYE MIDWEST EAT…

Thanks For The Memories

Hello everyone. This column will be a bit different than my previous columns, so bear with me.

As most of you know, I recently started my senior year at the Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics, and Humanities, a residential high school on Ball State’s Campus.

This year so far, I have been extremely busy. Between AP courses, Ball State classes, and college applications, I cannot fairly devote myself to writing the TEEN SCENE any longer. I regret not being able to continue writing it any more, but my future must take precedence over writing the column.  Were I were to keep writing the column, I would not be able to give you readers a column that you truly deserve to read.

I must say, that it has been a blast and quite an experience writing in this space each month, since taking the column over from my old friend Sarah Lounges, who herself is now off at campus working towards her own future and plans.

I’d like to say “thank you” to all of you who have faithfully read this section every month. I hope that your passions for music (particularly that of the region) remain constant and that you keep on rockin’ and rollin’.

I am truly going to miss this—It’s been a wonderful year and a half. Good luck to all of you local musicians who have contacted me during my time at Midwest BEAT Magazine and to you faithful readers.

Bob Dylan said – “The line it is drawn, the curse it is cast. The slow one now will later be fast, as the present now will later be past. The order is rapidly fadin'. And the first one now will later be last, for the times they are a-changin'.”

Well, the times are a-changin’, and change is usually good. Have faith in that and I am sure that I will see you around!
