CRAWLING THE WEB

with Kelly J. Calton

'Tis the season for giving, and many people are taking advantage of
on-line shopping. Many people are giving up dealing with rude Christmas
shoppers and long lines to shop right from the comfort of their own home.

On Line retailers are trying to stake their claim in the Christmas
market. Coupons are available for on line shoppers only, and delivery charges
have been dropped at many of the big E-commerce sites, in a bid to entice
Christmas shoppers out of the stores. What is a Christmas shopper to do? I'll
try and point you to the best shopping sites on the net in this month's
column.

ToyRus.com

Amazon.com and Toys R Us have teamed up to bring you one of the best on
line toy stores located at www.toysrus.com . The unique aspect of this toy
store is you can view what others who have previously bought the products
have to say. Ratings are given to all the toys based on feedback by previous
customers. All toys and games also feature  age recommendations for specific
toys.

Americanlogos.com

Speaking of old items, www.americanlogos.com is a website dedicated to
selling those rare tin signs and other collectibles. From Jack Daniels signs,
Coke-Cola memorabilia, street signs, Disney stuff, and many others, American
Logos is sure to have something on it's website that is perfect for someone
on your list!

BestBuy.com

www.bestbuy.com has dropped their shipping charges on many of the items
in their on-line store for the holiday season. Special prices and deals are
also abound on their website. Special DVDs are being offered at below
in-store prices, and the same with many computer games and accessories.

EBAY.com

I have found many priceless gifts using the net's biggest on-line
auction, www.ebay.com. You can find virtually ANYTHING there that you may
want. Shipping is usually not a problem either, since it is individuals
selling things. Most items will be received by Christmas if ordered in the
first couple of weeks of December. It's also a gold mind of vintage items and
rare collectibles!

Gifttree.com

Do you have a hard to buy for mom or sister? www.gifttree.com offers many
elegant baskets designed to make any woman happy. From baskets made to
relieve stress, flower baskets, and many more, Gift Tree is sure to have just
the right gift. They also offer specialty wines and foods. Pick your own
delivery date is a great feature they offer also.

I hope you all have a happy new year, and I will see you again in
February!
