GLAMOROUS GALS & GUYS…

All ears were tuned into comedian Tracey Ullman and her son Johnny, who shared the stage with his famous mom at this years Marshall Field’s Glamorama-Us Nitely event, which was held at the Chicago Theatre.

The night included an impressive list of celebrities, fabulous fashions from top designers, plus excellent performances from the British band Bond and Uncle Kracker.  The after party at the Field’s State Street store featured a fabulous feast well worth the time spent waiting in line.

All eyes were on actress Pamela Anderson who was the last to arrive down the “green carpet” at the Chicago Theatre wearing an eye-popping red dress. While strolling the carpet, she stepped out of line to autograph the well-toned abs of a handsome young fan, which was certainly a thrill for him.

Don’t call him “Mr. Ex-J-Lo” but Jennifer’s former hubby, Cris Judd, attended the gala wearing an Yves Saint Laurent suit, Michael Douglas’ handsome son Cameron Douglas was the celebrity record spinner cranking out the tunes during the arrivals, which were hosted by Phillip Bloch.

Actresses Lauren Holly, Jordanna Brewster and Sarah Wynter were part of the event as well. The event raises money  to support cancer research and the arts.

CELEBS GET “BURNED UP”…

The inaugural Old Style/Murray Brothers’ Golf Invitational presented by APAC Customer Services, Inc. drew a lot of celebrity friends to their three day Chicago event.  The summer bash –– hosted by actors Bill Murray, Joel Murray and brother Brian Doyle-Murray –– was held at the Marriott Hotel.

You could tell which avid golfers participated in the scheduled events at St.Andrews Golf & County Club by their well sunburned faces. Many cherry red cheeks and noses stood out against the earth tone decor at the hotel!

Proceeds from the golfing events benefitted the Housing Opportunities and Maintenance for the Elderly (H.O.M.E.) and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation–Illinois Chapter.

A few of the celebrities in attendance were: Bill Dwyer, Christopher McDonald, Richard Grieco, Chevy Chase, Billy Burnett and his son Billy Jr., Kristy Swenson, Graham Greene, and Chris Mulkey and his wife Karen Landry.  Rock artists Lisa Loeb and Dweezil Zappa were also there and performed.

TEEN HEART-THROB HEATS UP HORMONES…

Singer/teen idol Aaron Carter did a Back To School “meet ‘n’ greet” for his fans at Marshall Field’s State Street store.  The line of Chicagoland teenagers stretched down the aisles, out the door and quite a ways down Wabash Street.   Girls rode up and down the glass elevator near the autograph signing area with “We love Aaron!” signs in view of the young pop star.

Teen hormones were in full gear as Aaron bestowed pairs of coveted tickets to his  sold out House of Blues concert later that evening.  The lucky girls chosen, seemed to be picked at random.

ACTRESS “LORDS” OVER CHICAGO’S MEN…

About 250 grown men gave every excuse known to man to sneak over to Border’s Books and Music to get a chance to meet former adult film star, Traci Lords.  She signed copies of her new book, “Underneath It All,” at the Border’s Books & Music Michigan Avenue store.

SINISE HAS “DESIGNS ON SPACE…

Actor Gary Sinise, accompanied by his lovely actress/wife, Moira Harris, were in attendance at the Chicago Art Institute for the opening of the “Aerospace Design” exhibition.

The celebrated actor/director gave the keynote address for the exhibit which will run through February  8, 2004.
