A very big protion of Tom Lounges’ Night Rock Radio CD Library was stolen along with his car on 12/21/05 while in Hobart, Indiana.
The car was a medium blue 1986 Chevy Caprice 2-door with a dark blue Landau-style roof and the CDs were being transported to the station in the trunk.
If any record shops, pawn shops or collectors are approached about a vast music collection (close to 2,000 CDs) including PLENTY of obscure artists and titles by such bands as BUDGIE, ANGEL, AMBOY DUKES, CAPTAIN BEYOND, BLACK OAK ARKANSAS, TEN YEARS AFTER, FRANK ZAPPA (lots of those) and others, please contact Midwest BEAT Magazine IMMEDIATELY via email at
Many of the CDs are Japanese import discs distinguished by Japanese writing on the jackets. Some of these include several GRAND FUNK RAILROAD (still in their jewel boxes), CAPTAIN BEYOND and MONTROSE.
Some individual Box Set discs were also in the books from artists like ALICE COOPER, TED NUGENT, JUDAS PRIEST and a collection called “The Classic Rock Box” are also easily noticed.
There are also some home ‘burned’ CDs from vinyl and a whole book of Chicagoland/N.W. Indiana artist CDs ranging from Alison’s Mailbox, to Sgt. Roxx to The Wombats.
These NIGHT ROCK RADIO Library CDs are contained in two extra large double book binders GRAY & BLACK. Along with three solid BLACK single book binders and a 24-CD case.
